Funeral procession of a woman is a 1880 paint by Unknown, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a busy outdoor scene with many people in bright blue and white robes. A large group walks in a line, carrying banners and flags. In the background, buildings with tiled roofs and windows peek through trees. Some people stand on a balcony watching, while others gather near a tall, red pole with symbols on it. The focus seems to be on a group moving together, possibly for a ceremony. The colors are bold, with blues and reds standing out against the lighter background. The painting depicts a rectangular scene of a funeral procession, showing a group of figures in blue and white carrying various flags and lanterns through a village and across a bridge. A female figure is carried in a red structure on the right, while a tall figure in blue stands on the left. In the background, a large, ornate casket is visible. Originally part of an album of thirty-five procession scenes, it was acquired in 1898 from Parsons & Sons and is now accessioned as D.18-1898.
