Interior of the Cartuja (Chapterhouse) de Miraflores, in Burgos is a 1850 photographic by Unknown, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This photo shows a quiet room with arched stone walls. In the back sits a dark wooden altarpiece carved with saints. Up front are two carved tombs with figures lying on top. The photograph depicts the interior of the Chapterhouse at the Cartuja de Miraflores in Burgos, featuring the 1499 altarpiece by Gil de Siloë and Diego de la Cruz in the background, and the double royal tomb of Juan II de Castilla and Isabel de Portugal by Gil de Siloë (1489–1493) in the foreground. Part of a 611-piece collection once owned by John Singer Sargent, the image reflects his broad artistic interests and travels.
