About this work

This painting shows four figures in bright, flat colors. The person in the center has a blue face and wears a yellow outfit with red trim. To their left, a figure in purple stands holding something small. On the right, a seated person in red plays a stringed instrument. Above them, a yellow umbrella floats. The figures look like they’re from a story, with bold outlines and simple shapes. Their clothes and accessories suggest a scene from a traditional tale.
