This is a long, narrow wooden panel covered in tiny, evenly spaced characters. The characters look like ink marks pressed into the wood, arranged in neat rows. The wood itself has a warm, light brown color, and there are two small round holes near the top. These marks are actually an ancient Buddhist text, written in a script used in Nepal. The text is packed tightly, filling almost every inch of the panel. If you want to see more like this, check out The Cleveland Museum of Art.
