This is a wooden board with three rectangular sections of tiny, evenly spaced holes arranged in grids. Each section looks like it could hold strings or wires, and the wood has small round marks near the edges. The holes are all the same size, and the wood shows signs of wear. The setup looks like an old tool for writing or music, possibly used in a time when paper wasn’t common. The date on it is from over 900 years ago, but it’s hard to guess what it was really used for without more info. If you’re curious about where to see it, check out The Cleveland Museum of Art.
