Kristus ja avionrikkoja is an unspecified by Andrea Vaccaro, a Early Baroque Italian work, held at Finnish National Gallery.
This painting shows a group of people in dim lighting. A man in a red robe with a blue cloth stands at the center, holding hands with a woman in a light gray dress. Around them, others look on—some with beards, one shirtless, all in shadowy tones. The woman’s face is turned away, her hand resting on the man’s arm. The dark background makes the colors pop, especially the red and blue fabrics. This style of lighting is called *chiaroscuro*.
Andrea Vaccaro (baptised on 8 May 1604 – 18 January 1670) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period.
