About this work

This engraving shows a busy scene with lots of people dressed in old-fashioned armor and robes. Some are carrying heavy shields or standing tall with spears, while others hold up a decorated platform with vases. The background is packed with tiny figures, trees, and buildings, all drawn with sharp, detailed lines. Faces look serious, and the clothing has lots of folds and patterns. The artist used a lot of shading to make the figures look three-dimensional, even though it’s just a black-and-white drawing. The shields and armor have intricate designs, and the platform in the middle looks like it’s part of a parade or ceremony. If you like this kind of detailed drawing, look up Renaissance next.
