This print shows a lone man herding two goats near a crumbling stone tower. The tower has a small staircase leading up to a door, and a wheel at its base suggests it might be a mill. A tree stands bare beside the tower, while a smaller building with shutters sits to its right. The artist used fine lines to show texture—rough bricks, creased fabric, and even the goats’ fur. The sepia tones make it look like an old sketch. Look up etching, drypoint, aquatint to see how artists like this carved their prints.
