About this work

This sketch shows a few simple buildings along a quiet road. The lines are loose and quick, like a quick note. Trees and a fence run along the right side, and the ground looks uneven. The artist used only black chalk, so there’s no color—just light and dark lines. It feels like a quick study, not a finished picture. If you like this style, look up Baroque.
