St. Bartholomew is a 1546 by Sebald Beham, a Renaissance work, held at Cleveland Museum of Art.
This is a black-and-white drawing of a bearded man in old-fashioned clothes. He’s holding a sword in one hand and a scroll in the other. His tunic is wrapped around his body, and he’s standing on uneven ground with a few plants nearby. The name "S. Bartholomeus" is written on the left side, which likely means this is a religious figure. The artist’s initials, "HSB," appear in the corner. If you like this style, check out Renaissance art next.
Sebald Beham (1500–1550) was a German painter and printmaker, mainly known for his very small engravings.
