This sketch shows a quiet countryside scene with a winding path and a few small buildings in the distance. A lone tree stands near the center, its branches twisting against a soft, cloudy sky. Below, two riders on horseback move along the path, their figures small and simple. The whole scene feels loose and quick, like a quick study rather than a finished work.
