The Esquilache Immaculate Conception is an oil on canvas painting created by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo between 1645 and 1655.

History & Provenance

The painting was initially acquired by Leopoldo de Gregorio, 1st Marquess of Esquilache, during his tenure as Spanish ambassador to Venice. It subsequently passed through several owners, including Cardinal Gregorio and Pope Pius VI, before being sold to the Hermitage Museum in 1842.
