The Rest before the Inn is a 1652 ink by Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem, a Baroque work, held at National Gallery of Art.
The painting shows a woman sitting on a donkey, holding a hat in her hand. She's wearing a long dress and has her hair tied back. In front of her, there are some sheep and goats lying on the ground. To her left, a man is sitting on a bench, looking at her. The background is a bit blurry, but it looks like a building with a doorway. The woman seems to be resting or taking a break, and the animals are just hanging out around her. It's a pretty peaceful scene.
