One of five paintings of Indian ladies. is a 1835 paint by Unknown, a Patna School of Painting work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a woman sitting on the floor, holding a baby in her lap. She's wearing a white and gold outfit, and the baby is dressed in white. To her left, a young boy sits cross-legged, wearing a white shirt and blue pants with yellow cuffs. He's holding a pink flower. The woman and children are in a room with a red wall on the left and a window on the right that looks out onto a body of water. The floor is covered with a patterned rug. The painting is part of the Romanticism movement.
One of five paintings of Indian ladies, this work depicts a woman accompanied by two children. It was presented by Charles Campbell Prinsep to the India Museum in 1874 before being transferred to the South Kensington Museum in 1879.
