Copy after The Expulsion of Joachim from the Temple, Domenico Ghirlandaio in the Tornabuoni Chapel, Santa Maria Novella (Florence) is a 1860 watercolor by Domenico Ghirlandaio, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a group of people in fancy robes inside a grand building. Some stand still, others walk forward. The walls have arches and gold details. A man in blue and red robes is holding a baby. In the back, another man sits on a raised seat, looking down. The Latin words on top mean "Come to the temple" and "Act justly." This copy was made long after the original. The clothes and setting look old, but the colors are soft and blended. Check out Ghirlandaio, Domenico to see how he painted real people in his time.
A watercolour depicts a group of men in the foreground, one holding a lamb, while others with lambs appear in the background within a room featuring decorated columns and arches. The scene replicates *The Expulsion of Joachim from the Temple* by Domenico Ghirlandaio, located in the Tornabuoni Chapel, Santa Maria Novella, Florence. The copy was created by Cesare Mariannecci for the Arundel Society and acquired in 1995 from the National Gallery of London. It remains unpublished.
