Dina Nath is a 1840 paint by Unknown, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a man sitting on the ground, holding a petition and some documents. He's dressed in traditional clothing and has a pen case with him. The portrait is lightly drawn, which makes it seem simple, but it still gives us a sense of the man's importance. You can learn more about this style by looking into the technique: sfumato.
A watercolour on paper portrait from around 1835–1845 shows Dina Nath seated on the ground holding a petition, with his pen case and a bundle of documents placed before him. The lightly drawn image depicts him facing right, and to the right of his face a second profile of the same figure is visible. The work was donated to the museum by Miss M.W. Patterson in 1953.
