Diana cu vânat is a 1642 unspecified by Bartholomeus Spranger, a Flemish Baroque painting work, held at Brukenthal National Museum.
This painting shows a woman lying on a cloth, half-dressed with one arm raised and the other holding a feathered arrow. Her hair is loose, and she wears a few simple jewels. Around her are a few scattered items, like a glove and what looks like a dead animal. The soft lighting makes her skin glow against the dark background. The artist used shadows to shape her body and face carefully. Look up chiaroscuro next to see how this lighting trick works.
Bartholomeus Spranger or Bartholomaeus Spranger was a Flemish painter, draughtsman, sculptor, and designer of prints.
